Ren is number 164 in the Pop! Animation line. He is from 1991's The Ren And Stimpy Show.

BackgroundEdit

Ren Hoek is a scrawny "asthma-hound" Chihuahua who often calls Stimpy an idiot ("eediot", to quote the character) and slaps him around, quite literally. He was born on Tuesday the 17th, which makes him especially unlucky. Ren is voiced by series creator John K for the first two seasons and later on by Billy West in seasons 3-5.

HistoryEdit

Ren And Stimpy were first announced on December, 15 2016 by the Funko blog and were released in February 2017.

VariantsEdit

Like his counterpart Stimpy, Ren was released with a chase repaint as a firedog. This chase is meant to represent his appearance in the 1991 episode Fire Dogs. The chase has a 1/6 ratio.

In addition to the chase, Ren also made a appearance alongside Stimpy in the Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy Ren & Stimpy two pack. This set recreates the duo's appearance in the 1992 episode Stimpy's Invention. In this variant Ren's eyes are changed to pink, his face is given a smile and his Happy Helmet is placed on his head. It was released in 2017 as a SDCC exclusive limited to 2500 pieces.
